济南是闻名天下的泉城，泉群众多，境内分布着久负盛名的趵突泉、黑虎泉、五龙潭、珍珠泉、白泉、百脉泉、玉河泉、涌泉、袈裟泉、洪范池泉等十大泉群，有733个天然泉，古代便有“七十二名泉“之美称。
Jinan is world-known as the "City of Springs" because of the large number of natural artesian springs in its urban and suburban areas. The majority of the springs, many of which have been historically listed under the "72 Famous Springs", forming in the downtown area "ten spring groups": the Baotu Spring, the Black Tiger Spring, the Five Dragon Pool, the White Spring, the Baimai Spring, the Yuhe Spring, the Yong Spring, the Kasaya Spring, the Hongfanchi Spring. The city has 733 natural springs.
趵突泉，居“七十二名泉”之首，被誉为“天下第一泉”，有“游济南不游趵突，不成游也”的盛誉。
Baotu Spring, the first among the "72 Famous Springs", is known as "The Number One Spring under Heaven". It is said that it would be a great pity if you do not pay a visit to Baotu Spring when you travel to Jinan.
黑虎泉，泉水出于深凹形洞穴，通过三个石雕虎头泉水喷出，波澜汹汹，因水声呼啸似虎吼而得名。
The Black Tiger Spring, the spring water of which stems from moderately-deep circulation and emerges from a water-filled limestone cave in a steep cliff, gets its name from the shape and color of the rock, which resembled a black tiger, and the sound of the water gushing past the rock being reminiscent of the roar of a tiger.
五龙潭，也叫乌龙潭、龙居泉，公园内散布着形态各异的26处古名泉，构成济南城区四大泉群之一。
The Five Dragon Pool is also known as Wulong Pool, or Longju Spring. The spring that supplies the water for the Five Dragon Pool belongs to a group of springs that also contains 26 other springs, forming four great spring groups in the urban area of Jinan.
